If you’re after a strong, heavenly scent combined with calming, balancing effects, then Rose Geranium Cape Essential Oil is for you. With its superbly floral, sweet aroma, it’s no wonder that rose geranium oil (and the plants themselves) has been traditionally been kept in homes to help ward off evil spirits.
Rose Geranium Essential Oil is very popular in aromatherapy for helping to ease anxiety, stress and depression, encouraging balance, calm and uplifted spirits. It’s also great if you suffer from symptoms of PMS and out-of-kilter hormones.
This stabilising effect also applies applies to topical applications, helping to balance dry and oily skin, keeping it clear and supple. Wonderful added to massage oil, creams and lotions, or to your bath for a wide range of benefits, both psychological and physical.
Rose Geranium Essential Oil is said to be beneficial in helping fight fluid retention, eczema, shingles, cellulite, bruises, ringworm, haemorrhoids and breast engorgement. It’s a traditional healer of burns, wounds and ulcers, and added to shampoo can help keep head lice at bay. This particular variety of Rose Geranium is one of the most fragrant species, and is widely used in the perfume and cosmetic industries.
Cape Rose Geranium Oil comes from the unpolluted area of the Cape Region in South Africa. Rose Geranium originated in South Africa and then spread to Reunion, Morocco, Madagascar and Egypt. It was then introduced to European countries in the 17th century, including France, Italy and Spain.

Essential Oils are highly concentrated and powerful oils, and have the ability to cause serious harm if ingested without the necessary expertise required – for this reason, ingestion of essential oils is NOT recommended for the general public.
It is highly recommended to dilute all pure essential oils prior to applying topically. Essential oils are highly potent, concentrated and powerful oils, and can cause severe skin irritations or even burn the skin when not diluted. Essential Oils are also volatile, therefore when diluted with a non-volatile material (carrier oil), it makes the evaporation process much slower and allows the essential oil to be ‘carried’ into the skin, providing a more effective therapeutic outcome.
